My life has improved so much since joining Stroller Strides over six months ago. Before Stroller Strides, I was taking naps at the same time as my son because I wouldn’t have the energy to continue my day. Since becoming a monthly member and attending 3 to 4 classes a week, I am able to not only stay awake, but also complete all my chores/tasks for the day. And that is a great feeling to have at the end of a long day!
I stumbled upon Stroller Strides through Facebook and decided to give it a shot. It was so hard to figure out ways to exercise while being a stay at home mom and having a husband who worked odd hours. My only options were to be quiet and try to exercise during my son’s nap, or find an affordable gym with childcare, which I wasn’t able to do.
My son had just turned 9 months old and I still hadn’t lost any weight from my pregnancy when I found Stroller Strides. Once I started attending class more frequently, I had more energy and I was able to do more in class. During class, I never realized what a good workout I was getting until I was sore the next day because of how they run class. My favorite part is when we sing songs to our kiddos instead of counting. Singing makes it so you aren’t so focused on doing a certain amount of reps but instead we focus of making the kiddos smile while sweating, which I definitely prefer!
And before I knew it, I had lost 20lbs! I’m still not as my pre-pregnancy weight but now I have the confidence that I will get there as long as I keep going to class.
Stroller Strides is not only a time where I can exercise but I have gotten to know a lot of great moms and their kids. It has become a place to get our kids together and talk mommy business while getting our butts kicked! I feel supported emotionally as a first time mom and connected with women going through the same thing as I am with the same struggles.

The rain doesn't stop us from getting our workout in! We head inside to Coddingtown Mall if it's raining! Check the class schedule and our Facebook page for Rainy Day Notifications! Classes begin 15 minutes earlier when we are at Coddingtown to finish up class just as the shops open.
