Stroller Strides® is a stroller-based fitness program designed for moms
with little ones. Each 60-minute, total body workout incorporates power
walking, strength, toning, songs and activities. Certified fitness
instructors offer a variety of fun class formats both indoors and
outdoors. All locations also offer a free playgroup with Our Village so
moms can form lasting friendships with other moms through organized
playdates, moms' nights out, and activities for the whole family.
Stroller Barre® is a unique blend of ballet, Pilates, barre, yoga and
stroller-based exercises designed to help moms build strength and muscle
tone and improve posture. Created by a mom who was formerly a
professional ballerina, this class incorporates prenatal and postnatal
training and yields amazing results in an exciting, fun format.
Postpartum women tend to have tight and weak pectoral (chest), abdominal
and quadriceps muscles. In addition, the back and hamstrings muscles
become stretched and weak. This occurs due to hunched posture from
breast or bottle feeding, excessive spinal curves while carrying baby in
utero and after birth, and repeatedly picking their new (and rapidly
growing) baby up. Stroller Barre® focuses on strengthening and creating
an ideal length/tension relationship in all the postural muscles,
creating a taller, leaner-looking mommy!
If you've ever dreamed of making it through the finish line but don't know how to get started, this program is for you. We will train you in baby steps (or strolls) even if you've never run before. This class is designed for the beginner and to accomplish a 5k (3.1 miles), 10k (6.2miles) or Half Marathon (13.1 miles), or for the seasoned runner to work on their PR. You'll learn about running form, injury prevention, increasing speed and distance, and choosing the right shoe.
The Santa Rosa Fit4mom Running Club will meet on Wednesdays at 9:30 am & 6:15 pm beginning on February 28th and Sundays at 7:30 am. Our training location will vary each week based on the distance to be covered, and will be provided to you during the first class. Moms are welcome to bring kiddos in the stroller to the runs (or leave them home with a responsible adult).
Our Running Club is the perfect way to train for a 5k, 10k or Half Marathon! If you are training for your first race or you want to improve on your form and get a new PR - we are here for you!

The rain doesn't stop us from getting our workout in! We head inside to Coddingtown Mall if it's raining! Check the class schedule and our Facebook page for Rainy Day Notifications! Classes begin 15 minutes earlier when we are at Coddingtown to finish up class just as the shops open.
