This program has been such a positive experience for me. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming, all the moms and instructors are very supportive and encouraging of one another. I feel such a difference physically and mentally.
My endurance is better and I feel more confident trying new physical challenges. I knew I wanted to keep going to Stroller Strides about a month after I started when I was chasing my 4yr old around at gymnastics and carrying my 5mth old. I was running and chasing him without getting winded, carrying the baby without my arms getting tired, and had enough breath to be laughing while we were playing. That moment sealed the deal for me; I wanted to be a Stroller Strides mama! I started running with my mom in April and I thought I was going to die after I finished running a mile. Now I can run a 10K and I'm training for a half marathon. The core workout I get during Stroller Strides has been a huge part of me becoming a runner. It's also awesome when you see your Stroller Strides instructor at the same races and running around Spring Lake on a Sunday morning. That extra smile, pat on the back, and encouraging word keeps you motivated!
Exercising is an amazing thing and add the flexibility of being able to bring my kids with me and Stroller Strides is the perfect program for me. I don't feel comfortable with gym daycare and it's important for me to model a healthy life style for my kids. My 4yr old was asking me if I liked his squats this morning while he was getting dressed and he likes to make his army guys do wall sits while he's playing with them, he also likes to do the healthy food ABCs (a game we do during Stroller Strides). I want my boys to see the importance of living healthy and Stroller Strides allows me to model healthy living and not just tell them what it should look like.
I recommend Stroller Strides to all of my friends with kids. This program is money well spent, I don't think you'll find a more supportive group of people trying to get healthy together and you won't find more motivational instructors. The kids play together during and after class and it just has a great vibe!

Running Club is the perfect way to start running even if you have never run before and don't know where to start! Or maybe you are looking to get in some extra cardio into your fitness routine? Look no further than Running Club! You'll learn about running form, injury prevention, increasing speed and distance, and the importance of being in the right shoe for you. This program is designed for any level of runner, from beginner to expert. Our next session starts February 26th. Train for the Mud Run April 2nd and/or the Windsor 5k, 10k or Half Marathon on May 21st.
